During the races, tram and bus operations will be severely restricted in various districts of the city of Zurich between 6 am and about 7 pm. The circuits and times vary on each race day and thus also the impact on public transport. The affected lines are rerouted, run on shortened routes or are temporarily suspended. Replacement buses run on certain days. The S-Bahn and the Forchbahn run as usual. The Forchbahn runs at 15' intervals at certain times. 

To plan your trip, we recommend that you consult the online timetable at zvv.ch or in the ZVV app shortly beforehand. The online timetable has been adapted. 

In principle, tram and bus operations in the affected districts will be restricted until about 7 pm on each race day. After that, most lines will run on their usual route. Limmatquai will be closed throughout the entire duration of the World Championships.

• Limmatquai is closed during the entire scheduled period. 
• Line 4 is diverted via Bahnhofstrasse. 
• Line 15 is suspended.
• Line 17 runs from 8 am from Bahnhofquai/HB via Central to Bucheggplatz.
• Line 33 runs only between Triemli and Hegibachplatz until 7 pm. Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen can be reached via Bahnhof Stadelhofen/Opernhaus.

Oerlikon/Schwamendingen: Tram and bus service from 12 noon to 5 pm or 6 pm.

• Line 62 runs from 9 am to 12 noon from Schwamendingerplatz via Aubrücke back to Waidhof. Herbstweg and Tulpenstrasse stops are not served. From 12 noon to 5 pm (Sunday 12 pm to 6 pm) buses run from Waidhof via Aubrücke to Wallisellen, Glatt.
• Line 75 will be turned round at Waldgarten from 12 noon to 5 pm (Sunday 12 noon to 6 pm) coming from Seebach.
• Schwamendingerplatz can be reached at any time by tram lines 7 and 9.
• Line 743 from Bahnhof Stettbach is suspended from 1.30 pm to 5 pm (Sunday until 6 pm). Line 751 leaves from a temporary stop. 

• Limmatquai is closed during the entire scheduled period. 
• Line 4 will be diverted via Bahnhofstrasse. Line 15 is suspended.
• Line 17 runs from Bahnhofquai/HB via Central to Bucheggplatz.
• Line 33 runs only between Triemli and Hegibachplatz until 7 pm. Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen can be reached via Bahnhof Stadelhofen/Opernhaus. 
• Forchbahn, S-Bahn and boats operate according to the timetable. 

Tram and bus service daily until 7 pm in the Witikon area from the closure of Witikonerstrasse

Restricted period: until 7 pm

Affected areas: Witikon, Seefeld, Klusplatz, Hegibachplatz and the Central – Kunsthaus – ETH/University Hospital and Bürkliplatz – Bellevue areas. Limmatquai is closed during the entire scheduled period.

Affected lines: 2, 3, 4, 33, 77, 91, 99, 701, 703, 704, 910, 912, 916

Suspended lines: 5 (until 7 pm), 15 (during the entire scheduled period)

Replacement buses: in Seefeld between Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen and Kreuzstrasse, and towards Witikon from Kirche Fluntern or from Rehalp via Zollikerberg.

Recommendation: S-Bahn to cross the city centre

Altstetten, Albisrieden, Wiedikon

• Line 3 from Bellevue via Kunsthaus
• Line 8 from Bahnhof Stadelhofen via Kreuzplatz

Hegibachplatz, Balgrist, Rehalp, Lengg hospital area

• Line 11 or Forchbahn from Bahnhof Stadelhofen
• Lines 77 and 99 from Balgrist
• There is no connection to Kirche Fluntern or Seefeld

Seefeld

• Replacement bus E between a replacement stop at Kreuzstrasse and Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen
• No connection between Kreuzstrasse and Bellevue or towards Hegibachplatz
• Bus lines 910, 912 and 916 do not run to Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen or Bahnhof Bellevue until 7 pm.

Witikon

Line E between Kienastenwies and Klusplatz at the following times:

• Wednesday, 25 September: until approx. 7 am
• Thursday, 26 September: until approx. 10 am
• Friday, 27 September: until approx. 11 am
• Saturday, 28 September: until approx. 7 am
• Sunday, 29 September: until approx. 7 am 
• There is no direct connection to the city centre or Hegibachplatz. Change at Klusplatz to tram lines 3 or 8 and change at  Bellevue/Bahnhof. Stadelhofen on the S-Bahn.
• Replacement buses depart at Klusplatz from stop D in Sempacherstrasse

Replacement buses during the day until approx. 7 pm, when the replacement buses can no longer run on Witikonerstrasse:

• Line E between Schulhaus Looren and Kirche Fluntern (no stop)
• Line 91 from Stodolastrasse via Spital Zollikerberg to Rehalp.  

No connection from Witikon with lines 701, 703 and 704 to Glattal until 7 pm.
